During this Virtual Event, Mike Gallante will present a briefing on Active Shooter Awareness TrainingMike has developed Active Shooter training for local law enforcement and public sector entities.  He will bring his expertise to provide our alumni a riveting and on-the-edge of your seat briefing.  You will not want to miss this virtual event!  

Speaker Bio


Michael J. Gallante is a West Point graduate and served ten years in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer and leader for Airborne and Special Forces Units including multiple combat tours.  He has over 22 years of investigative and tactical experience in the FBI and also served as the SWAT Senior Team Leader, Principal Tactical, Principal Defensive Tactics, and Principal Firearms Instructor for a 275 person FBI Field Office.  Gallante has over 30 years of experience as a leader and instructor for military tactics, police and SWAT tactics, firearms, defensive tactics, and Active Shooter.  Gallante currently serves as the Senior Director of Security for the Valleywise Health System and Chief of an 80-man armed Security Department.  He takes pride in conducting in-house training for his team.  He is also a national adjunct instructor for the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Active Shooter program.

As the lead trainer and FBI tactical liaison for other Federal, State and local agencies, Gallante taught various programs to include Police Street Survival, Active Shooter, Basic and Advanced Sniper, Basic SWAT, SWAT Close Quarters Battle, Firearms, Pistol and Carbine, Basic Life Saving and Emergency Medicine, Combatives, Use of Force, and Defensive Tactics training. Gallante also served as a national Instructor for SWAT, Active Shooter, and sniper programs. Gallante is a well-respected, well-rounded, and experienced instructor that has instructed tens of thousands of law enforcement officers and public safety personnel over his career. 

Michael Gallante developed the FBI’s Active Shooter program and curriculum for local law enforcement and public sector entities.  He has instructed numerous police Active Shooter and Train the Trainer courses for Federal, state, and local police, as well as FBI Agents. Gallante has given numerous Civilian Active Shooter Preparation and Response; Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, and Awareness presentations and training to the FBI Citizen’s Academy, private sector businesses and organizations, schools, hospitals, public safety entities, and the media. 

Cost: 

$15 for each currently paid member and his/her guests**

$25 for each unpaid member and his/her guests
